From 17th - 24th August, 15 Japanese students aged between 11 - 17 years old visited Port Moresby to experience culture, life and adventure.
This program is organised by Bridge Club PNG by volunteer and it is aiming for a cross cultural experience for youth in PNG and Japan. Japanese students spent a week with their PNG host families and visited Karekodobu village in Rigo District.
I believe that this program is very positive and meaningful to give an understanding of diversity. It will also make people to think what they are grateful for, and what needs to be improved in their country.
When I was a teenager, I had opportunities to learn and see foreign cultures and lifestyles., which cultivated my passion of exploring the world and do something meaningful. It eventually lead me to establish PEACS in 2015.
This program is heavily depends on volunteers' fund raising and donation.
PEACS would like to continue supporting Bridge Club PNG as part of our community engagement mission.
